Industries
Automotive & Motorsport: Exhaust systems, turbo areas, wiring harnesses and fluid lines.
Welding & Metal Processing: Welding stations, robotic welding cells, hoses, cables and equipment exposed to sparks and molten splash.
Hydraulic Systems: Heat‑exposed hydraulic hoses, fittings and connections.
Oil & Gas: Hoses, pipes and cables exposed to heat, oils, fuels and harsh environments.
Industrial Machinery: Furnaces, engines, generators, motors and high‑temperature equipment.
Aerospace & Transportation: Heat‑exposed wiring, hydraulic lines and complex assemblies where retrofit installation is important.
Glass & Foundry: Protection around equipment exposed to radiant heat and metal/glass processing environments.
Product Comparison
Standard Fire Sleeve: For straight assemblies where the hose or cable can be disconnected. → Full tubular protection
Silicone Coated Fiberglass Tape: For irregular, tapered or already‑installed assemblies. → Retrofit wrap‑around protection
Velcro Fire Sleeve: For large hoses and cables requiring repeated removal. → Reusable access
Silicone Self‑Fusing Tape: For sealing and finishing sleeve ends or creating a self‑bonding wrap. → Sealing & finishing
Wrap. Overlap. Secure.
01 — Position
Place the tape over the heat‑exposed area.
02 — Wrap
Wrap around the hose, cable, pipe or assembly.
03 — Overlap
For enhanced protection, use an appropriate overlap according to your application.
A 50% overlap is commonly specified for this type of tape; some manufacturers recommend around 30% depending on product construction and required protection level. The correct overlap should therefore follow the selected product's technical recommendation.
04 — Secure
Secure the finished wrap with suitable:
● Hose clamps
● Stainless‑steel ties
● Wire ties
● Mechanical fasteners
Electriduct specifically recommends tie‑wraps, wire ties or hose clamps for securing its Fireflex Flat tape.
Targeted Protection. Less Disassembly. Faster Maintenance.
Instead of replacing or redesigning an entire assembly, apply thermal protection directly to the exposed section.
Protect:
A 300 mm hot spot.
A hose connection.
A cable splice.
A pipe transition.
A welding torch line.
A vulnerable section next to an exhaust.
Protection goes exactly where you need it.
